Our Story

At Shawarma Stop, we’re passionate about bringing authentic, mouthwatering flavors to our community. Our founder, Ali Rizk, has dedicated his life to the food industry, turning his passion for Middle Eastern cuisine into a thriving business. Shawarma Stop began its journey at Detroit’s iconic Eastern Market in 2012. Since then, we’ve proudly served fresh, flavorful meals to market-goers every weekend, building lasting relationships with our loyal customers.

Today, we operate a food truck based in Wixom, serving delicious shawarma and more Monday through Friday, while continuing our weekend tradition at Eastern Market. In addition to our regular locations, we offer catering for all types of events — whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, festival, or private gathering. We can cater with our food truck or a customized setup to meet all of your needs.

Our mission is simple: to expand our presence and share our love of great food with even more communities. We’re working toward launching a second food truck to serve multiple locations, ensuring that everyone gets a taste of Shawarma Stop wherever they are!
